Moving homes

Abigail and I made it through last week. We got lots of play time together, including going to the pre-school’s playground one afternoon. Abigail loved watching the bigger kids running around and even went down a slide a couple times. We were so glad, though, when Joel made it home. It’s restful for both Abigail and I to have Daddy home.

We’ve started moving into the new house! There was some construction in the kitchen that was supposed to begin last week, but last Tuesday there were major thunderstorms and the head contractors house was flooded with about 3 feet of water. So Joel started on some of the work and most likely it’s going to save us some money! The workers are supposed to be there today, so we’ll see…

In the meantime we’ve been moving things over to various rooms. Tomorrow, the Pattys and Jacksons, Johnny and Sebastian will be coming over to help move all of our big things. Most likely we’ll be sleeping there tomorrow night and moving over final things on Friday and Saturday, cleaning this house and handing back the keys on Sunday.

We’re looking forward to being there.

Today Abigail has an appointment for her yearly shots. A couple weeks ago was her yearly appointment, but was sick at the time and they were rescheduled for today. Could you please pray for her as she deals with shots and moving into a new home in the next 24 hours. Thanks so much!

Oh...and tomorrow morning we'll have our internet access turned off in this house and turned on in the new one, but because of the storms the utility workers that would normally come to install the new internet in the house are very busy re-setting wires and systems in the flooded areas of Slovenia. So we may be out of internet/email access for a time. We'll see... so if you don't hear from us for awhile, that will be why. So please bear with us. Thank you!!
