Joel left at noon today with 3 guys to head up to the Czech Republic. He's joining up with a youth group there with the goal to just spend time together. Matic is one of the three guys and also went with Joel to Oregon last summer. He said that some of his favorite times were spent in the shotgun seat just talking with Joel as they drove. He called "shotgun!" several days before they left this time as well. Joel said that he's looking forward to that part of the trip too and with just three guys, he should get some good time with them!
The kids and I are holding down the fort! A new mall opened on Wednesday here in Kranj with a movie theater and bowling, a kid's play place (for ages 4 and up..bummer!) a couple restaurants, cafes, a new grocery store and many more stores. We're planning on meeting Kathy there tomorrow to just walk around and take it all in now that the crowds have died down a little.

Who's youth group is he joining? Or rather, did he join? It is Tuesday, so I'm sure he is back. Hope it was a great time and that Joel came back with great ideas and input.
