Prague!

Our trip to Prague was really enjoyable!! It was so fun for Joel and I to be back in that city again after such a long time. Our first two days of dating back in 2000 were spent there, so it was special to revisit all those places again.

It was a bit stressful at times for Joel to manage both his family and the students, but in the end it was enjoyable for everyone. The plan was to spend time together as everyone in the mornings and then split up in the afternoons. It worked out though, that everything was relaxed and sometimes we all slept in and took time getting moving, other times we spent time apart earlier and reconnected later in the day. The students were all really gracious about traveling with me & the kids and having to share Joel with us as well.

It was also great to have so many extra people to entertain the kids and extra arms to hold them at tired times. The kids did really well though and if you ask Abigail if she likes "traveling" she says, "yes!" I think she might equate "traveling" though with 7 students. At times when we would split up she would ask, "Mom, where are my friends?" Both kids enjoyed riding on the Metro (subway). When it would depart and get going...really fast, I might add, Elijah would say, "whoa..." There is also a great children's park on one end of the bridge and we spent time there with the kids several times. It gave all of us a time to rest.

All in all, it was a really special time in a really special city! We enjoyed it very much!
