A surprise parade!

Our final weekend in Gresham, my best friend's family was also in Gresham and we planned on meeting at Main City Park to get some precious family time together. It turned out to be the same Saturday as Gresham's Teddy Bear Parade. Finally, we made our way up to Main Street and ended up catching most of the parade!I usually read about it on so many friend's blogs, so it was fun to actually be there on the actual day of the parade! It was definitely different than most parade's we've seen in Slovenia and it took a while for the kids to catch on what was going on. They enjoyed it though, especially seeing all the other children who took part in the parade and by the end were waving as all the paraders went by. Some candy was even tossed in our direction! The kids just stood and stared, not sure what to do with having candy thrown at them. Gina's kids all knew what to do though and quickly scrambled to scoop it all up! They happily shared with our kids who knew how to EAT it, just not what to do with having it thrown at them! : ) Funny missionary kid stories...
