Tulip Festival

On Thursday, the kids and I headed down south to the Tulip Festival with Emily & Russell. The flowers were beautiful and the weather was great! I wasn't sure how the kids would do just wandering around looking at rows and rows of pretty flowers, but they actually did really well! The boys showed GREAT restraint in not picking the flowers, although they did "pinch" a couple. : ) Abigail thought the flowers were very pretty and we even a variation of tulips called, "Abigail"!

The play area was so fun for the kids! Not your typical climbing structures and slides. It was lots of hay, horse-swings and slides made out of PVC pipes and large plastic tunnels. We'd brought lunches with us, so it was a perfect way to end our morning of enjoying the flowers by letting the kids run free at the play area while we ate lunch. Abby & Elijah would come to snag some bites then be off again for more sliding!
 The whole gang!

I really liked the multi-colored rows! So pretty!!
Emily & Russell & Abigail too!
 The boys...restraining themselves! : )
Trying to get all four to look at the camera and smile is quite a challenge!
 The "Abigail" variation
The super slide the kids just loved!
And my 3 sweet tulips! : )
