A Visit to the Yellow Grandparents!

Yay for my parents living in Central Oregon!! Sometimes... it sure would be nice to have my parents here in town to be able to see them more often...and it's also nice that our "vacation" can be at their home in Central Oregon where it's just hot and sunny, leaving this cool, wet Portland weather behind us for a couple days.

My Dad's mom is visiting them for the summer from California and we want as much time with her as we can get, we want our kids to know their Great-Grandma! Caleb sure took to her...which was surprising, being a year and a half old, I thought he would be a little more shy around her, with her French accent and all, but he was the one lingering around her all day, bringing her toys and balls and letting her wipe his goopy, runny nose. Thanks Grandma!

We used the community pool, played and played at my parents, went to the park on the ranch and just rested. It was really nice to have the extra hands and eyes on the kids and my parents borrowed some friend's motor home for Joel, Hannah and I to sleep in. The kids (the early risers) were in the house with Mom and Dad so we were able to sleep in while they got up with the kids, fed them breakfast, changed diapers and even tended to them in the middle of the night. Aaahhhh....it was restful. Thanks Mom & Dad!!
