Zapik!

Remember playing the game of "Tag!" and having a 'safe place' where you could run to and have a break? That's what the Slovene word 'Zapik' means. So today we're heading out to a retreat with 12 students. We're hoping it will be a safe place for them to have a break. We'll be going to the same place where we had English Camp, on the other side of Bled. It has a great view of the mountains, all of which have a dusting of snow this morning! They're beautiful!

Sebastian & Glorija are joining us and Sebastian will be doing all the talks. He'll be teaching the students how to study the Bible on their own. A very important thing for them, especially in light of having just celebrated Reformation Day. Translating the Bible into common language was one of Martin Luther's big accomplishments. We're praying the students will get a thirst for and an understanding of God's word.

Throughout the next couple days they'll also be playing a game that is a combination of Survivor and Mafia! Joel is quite ingenius sometimes!! : ) It will be played at different times during the retreat, including tiki torches and voting for people in front of the camera! I think the students are really going to enjoy it!

Also, this morning Abigail had her second doctor's appt. The dr. said she's doing great, healthy and at the top growth rate for her age. (She's three months now!) She also got a shot for three vaccinations. She's a trooper! She is sound asleep right now... please pray that she does well the next couple of days. If not, her and I can come back home, but it would be fun to have her up there too with all the students. We'll see...
(That's Mali, our cat, underneath Abigail. I think she's decided that the little noise maker is here to stay so she might as well learn to like her too.)
