A place to call home

Well, we made it to Oregon and are finishing up our first week. My parents (Amy) met us at the airport and stayed that first weekend with us to get extra time with Abigail...and us too I suppose, but especially Abigail. : )

We're staying at a house that Good Shepherd owns and uses for missionaries when they come to the states for furloughs. Joel and I were talking about the fact that this is our first time to be in a house by ourselves in the states since we've been married! We want to thank everyone who loaned things, gave things, and who bought food and treats for us to use while we are here. We arrived at the house with full cupboards and refrigerator, Christmas decorations thoughout the house, including a fresh wreath on the door, a decorated Christmas tree and a basket of additional ornaments for us to put up. What a homecoming! Thank you to all who were involved in getting the house ready for us!

And thank you to all the newer moms who loaned us things for Abigail to use while we're here. She's just loving it all! She has more things here in this house than she has at home in Slovenia! Some things we were putting off buying because they're more expensive over there and we weren't sure if she really would like it. Well...now we know!

We're just really feeling loved and blessed here...thanks so much!
