Happy Anniversary!

One year ago today we officially opened the doors to a new store-front downtown Kranj. Although, this store-front wouldn't be selling anything anymore...now it would be a room comprised of students enjoying friendship, fun, laughter, games, safety, security, trust, smiles, hugs, memories and...Jesus.
Over the last year we have had many students coming through the doors at Trdna Skala. Most of them have found a place to call home-away-from-home in those walls. For many students it has been a place where their friendships have began, grown and have flourished. For them it is a sacred place where they have found love and acceptance.
For others it is a place where they have come with their friends and have met Jesus in a real way and have been getting to know who He is. For them it is a place where a new life and friendship has begun.
So tomorrow night is going to be a celebration! We'll be having a slide show of the pictures over the last year as well as videos. We'll be singing songs and playing games and overall just enjoying the last year of friendships and what God has done in all our lives. We've even invited the Mayor of Kranj to join us! He is Tilen's uncle and his slogan is "Youth For Kranj" so we thought he might be interested to see what's going on with some of the youth in Kranj.

And we wish you could join us too! : ) Although, so many of you have "joined us" over the last year and even the year before. You've prayed for these students, for Joel and I, you've given money to making Trdna Skala a cool place for students to hang out in, you've followed our stories with interest to see how we're growing and the students we're working with. We just wish you could see and experience it all for yourself. God is drawing hearts to Himself here in Slovenia and we're privileged to be a part of His what He's doing here in Kranj! So thank you for joining us and...Happy Anniversary to you too!
