Okay, not quite "go" yet...but Abigail is sure trying to crawl! She's got all the right movements, she just has to figure out the coordination for putting them all together at one time. We're having fun just watching her move her little body around to get in all the directions she wants to go.
Sometimes she's got her legs up and pushing her forward but her chest is on the floor holding her back. Then at other times she's up on both her hands and knees but when she lifts her arm to move it forward with her leg, she sort-of face plants into the floor. One of these days she'll get it all figured out and then she'll be off! And we'll be sorry we ever tried helping her figure it all out! : )Last weekend we had a Zapik retreat with some of our youth. I'll write more about that later, but for the Abigail update from that time:
She went sledding for the first time! With the weather being so warm over here this year we had hardly any snow, but there was just enough for a nice hill for sledding. Abigail didn't seem to notice that she was even moving when she was in her daddy's arms, but as soon as she noticed the other kids going, she would get fearful and almost cry. I'm not sure...but there must be some spiritual illustration in there somewhere! : )
