We celebrated Abigail's 2nd birthday yesterday! Last month we were at the store and she had a choice between Disney Princesses or Winnie the Pooh party supplies and she chose the Princesses. So we went with it...although not as far as we could've gone. I was looking up ideas online and am amazed at all that people go to for parties! We just had the napkins and cups and a castle cake, which was a lot more complicated to make than the "how-to" video showed online. It kept crumbling and breaking off as I was frosting it, so we decided it was a true European Castle cake since most of them are crumbling to some degree too! Abigail liked it and that was all that mattered!
It was so fun to celebrate our little 2 year old with our friends! There is a family here for the summer interning with JV, hoping to move here long-term. We actually met them through my parents at Ranch Chapel (church) on Crooked River Ranch. They have 3 boys, Zachary, Nathan & Corban and Abigail has enjoyed playing with them a little bit this summer. Nathan is just 10 days older than Abigail and Corban is 2 months older than Eli so it's been fun to have kids close in age around here.
So, without further adieu, here is the slideshow of yesterday's party! Enjoy! Just click on it if you'd like to see it larger. It'll take you to the original in Picassa.
loved showing Luke the pics from "Baby's" birthday! Wish we could have been with you to celebrate but our thoughts were with you. Also, thanks for the note you sent out about Kathy's dad. You did a great job communicating on her behalf. miss you guys!
If only we could have been there...but it is so good to have visuals and hear your voices. Happy birthday to our sweet granddaughter! We love you all and miss you. Love, Dad and Mom
