I don't know that I would ever say "yay!" for TV, but you'll understand why as you read this post! : )
Last winter we figured out that if we dropped our home phone line (that we really only used to answer sales calls and to order pizza!) and switched to a different internet company that has faster speed, we could also get "cable tv" and still pay less than we were at that time for no tv, a slower internet connection and a phone that we rarely used.
So we made the switch!
Now we have FoxNews, which we've totally enjoyed having! Yesterday we were up by 7am, 10pm NW time and were able to see Senator McCain's wife's speech as well as his. Although, with it being morning our time, we were mostly just listening to it as we went about our day. It was great though! We also have CNN, but we like FoxNews better!
Also, this fall Joel is going to be able to relax on the couch on Saturdays and Sundays and watch (mostly college) football! We have the NASN channel...he is really looking forward to that!
And for the kids we have BabyTV. It's a British channel with 24 hours a day baby programs. We totally do NOT watch it that often, but it's really great to have this fun channel. If you ever notice our kids speaking with a British accent, now you'll know why! : )

I noticed Elijah's british bib in his video " cheeky boy" so maybe he's well on his way - cartoons & bibs from the UK. My kids get the BBC kids channel and Grace LOVES Charlie & Lola. See if it's on your schedule.
