Take an extra pair of clothes and plastic bags when we go to Klagenfurt next time!!
We had some errands to run today and decided to do them in Klagenfurt, Austria instead of Ljubljana. It takes just a bit more time to get there, but now that there is no border stop between countries, it's kinda nice to do it there. There are the same stores but with much less traffic and Toys-R-Us and a Burger King, which makes it a mega-winner for all!!
It's a beautiful drive...up and over the mountains that separate Slovenia and Austria. The kids usually fall asleep along the way leaving the car quiet and peaceful. Joel and I have had some of our favorite conversations making that drive.
Today though....Elijah was a bit fussy on the "down" side of the mountains. It is quite a curvy road that Joel drives extra slow just to prevent carsickness...but today it didn't work. Abigail said, "Mama...Yiya..." pointing at her brother who sits backward in his infant carseat and then she threw up!
Joel pulled over as soon as he found a spot and as I got to her side to begin washing her up I realized Elijah had already thrown up and that is what she was trying to tell me. Poor kids!!
We got to town, went straight to Toys-R-Us and bought Elijah a new shirt, Abigail's car seat caught most of her...mess...and some of her jeans. We made her (and us) suffer through it for the day and opted out of buying a new pair of pants.
Oh! And Toys R Us sells Febreeze! We only saw one bottle and snatched it up!
We ran the rest of our errands including stopping at McDonalds for lunch. It has one of the new play gym places. Fun for the whole family! : ) And on the return trip, thankfully, the kids were both zonked out in their seats so no repeat of the morning's episode!
Both car seats covers are now washed and will hopefully be dry by morning! : )

This story should become family legend. YOu know they're missionary kids when their favorite story about a country is when they puked on their car seat while going to Toys R Us! Great story. Will tell it to my kids at dinner. They'll love it.
