Joel and Abigail first went to the church to check it out and really enjoyed it. Currently, they're meeting on campus of a Christian college while they look for another space they can use. The church is pretty small at this point, which makes a family like ours stand out quite a bit despite the many other young families that are part of the church.
Joel has attended the Friday morning Men's Bible Study twice now and has been spending time with the Pastor who is leading the church plant. Craig has been working hard to get the word out about Joel needing a job and us having a baby.
It was obvious last night at church when we were surprised with a table full of baby things for us. Craig had emailed everyone earlier in the week and then introduced us last night and said "that for however long we might be a part of their church body, they'd like to just be a blessing to us." What a gift!!Besides all the wonderful gifts, people gave us their phone numbers offering to help us out in any way they can. Another guy is a photographer and gave Joel his card, saying he'd like to give us a free photo shoot after the baby is born. It was such an encouragement to be "showered" by everyone!
My due date is this coming Friday and at my appt this morning the dr. said I'm still only 1cm dilated. We're praying that the baby decides to come on it's own this week, but if not, we scheduled an induction for Friday. So either way...this is going to a great week!! Thank you again for praying for us!!

How great to know that by Saturday you'll be holding this little one in your arms! Love the pictures of you from the profile, pregnant women are beautifull. So cool that you got showered!
Megan is trucking along. She is such a go getter! She's trying to get out of taking her thyroid out with sugery and opting to doing it the natural way. She is settling into life at the coast. I try to keep her updated with your blog!

Yeah! How great to be so showered! My sis just had her baby last night and I was thinking that you should be right in line for your little one to arrive!! Can't wait to hear all about it. =)
