Caleb has begun eating finger foods! It is so nice to just pop him in his high chair with a pile of cheerios and know that for about 15 minutes he'll be happy and content! : ) Not like he isn't most of the time anyway...but it buys me some time to get lunch or breakfast ready for the other two. He is also enjoying bananas and avocados, applesauce and baby cereal.... ...as long as he gets to feed himself! We have tried and tried feeding him from a spoon, but he spits out whatever goes in. He gobbles it all up, though, if I just dump it on his tray...and again...he's happily occupied during dinner, giving me time to actually slow down and enjoy my meal!! It makes for quite the messy little one, but these bib jackets from IKEA come in handy for that! Food is all about just tasting and trying at this point...so why not just let him enjoy every sticky, slimy and gooey fistful during the process?! : )
