Annual Easter Egg Hunt & Egg Dyeing

Saturday morning was the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Pate's house. Our eggs were loaded and ready to go! It's a family favorite every year, so much fun with our friends. The weather was forecasting rain on Saturday, but thankfully it didn't start until we were finished! 

Hannah and her best friend, Claire Arnold. They're only a few days apart despite the 6 inch height difference! ;)

Caleb & Hannah, patiently waiting until the hunt would begin. The big kids were out in the field hiding all the eggs. Hannah's lip is covered in powdered sugar from a donut or two. Besides the hunt itself, having donuts every year and Starbucks coffee for the parents, it's just a win-win for everyone, young and old! ;)

 Caleb had the whole thing down this year and had well over his alloted dozen so we left some on the field for another little person to find. :)

 Abby and Elijah were so fast this year, I didn't get any photos of them "running" to find them, only the after shots with their filled baskets.

 Our annual family photo. Yay! They're all growing, we didn't feel like we needed to kneel on the ground! And the rain had begun by this point, we were trying to get the photo taken before we were downpoured upon. ;)

I have a picture of Abby on this swing her Kindergarten year as well. ;)

The kids had fun dyeing eggs again this year. They were watching the movie "Frozen" while dyeing eggs, so it made it a bit distracting for picture taking. :) They still made it through their five eggs each so we have a colorful assortment of boiled eggs in the fridge now! :)
