Over Mt. Hood and to the High Desert...

To Grandmother's House we went for the past 4 days. It's been a full and fun time here! We went to "Cowboy Church" which was at a Youth Ranch with a potluck and an outdoor worship service. That was something new and fun!

Yesterday we traveled to Cove Palisades to meet up with some friends of my parents who have a son Caleb's age. They've played together through the years since they were babies, so it's always fun to watch the boys pick right back up where they left off!

 Cove Palisades is so beautiful!
My Mom is so cute in her pink hat to protect her head even though she does have some hair right now from the break in her chemo treatments.

These boys had so much fun building a lake and keeping it sustained. Love!

This cracked me up! These squirrels kept trying to get our food, so Hannah kept going over there with this look on her face and her fists up and when I went to snap the picture, the squirrel peeked over...apparently she didn't scare him! ;)

Today, by request of the kiddos, we spent 6 hours down at the community pool! Despite, lots and lots of sunscreen, we're all feeling sunburns tonight but it was worth being in cool, refreshing water on this 91 degree day!
These two played some hand-clapping games together in the shade for awhile.
Caleb is fully in the big pool this summer! It's fun to see his confidence "jump" this summer! He's rarely in a floaty anymore and loves diving for things on the bottom of the pool, jumping in from the side or just swimming around.
Hannah has almost, but not completely moved up to the big pool from the kiddy pool! She's over 3 ft tall now and as you can see, quite fearless even though she has never had swim lessons! This has been a great pool for the kids to come to every summer! The 3ft section goes a good length of the pool giving the kids a large, safe area to play in. Hannah is great at diving to the bottom and getting the pool toys and is swimming underwater quite a bit already!
You can see what Elijah enjoys doing! Collecting as many pool toys as he can find! He made a friend today (even though at dinner, he couldn't remember his name after playing with him for a couple of hours!) and they dove for dive toys over and over and over and over again!
Abby's always making friends when she's anywhere! I love that about her! She played with different girls who came and went today and her favorite place to be this summer is the deep end (10 ft)! Her maiden voyage there was with Autumn a couple weeks ago and loves being down there now. Grandpa spent some time in the deep end with her and eventually Elijah put on a life jacket and headed down there as well. She enjoys jumping in from the side, touching the bottom and coming back up!
The kids and I head home tomorrow and we have a busy month of July planned, so it looks like August is when we'll be back at Grandma's house!
