Joel worked hard the weeks leading up to Hannah's birthday to re-vamp the Treehouse to add on a playhouse underneath and a slide. It was her birthday present this year. Being a fourth born, it seems like everything else that would be a gift has already been given to someone else and passed down. We were thinking of getting her a bike and about two months before her birthday, the neighbors down the street showed up with a bike that their daughter was done using. It was hard to turn it down!
A couple weeks before her birthday, Andrea from church offered their daughter's bike that was outgrown as well. It was the next size up and came with a baby seat and a basket! We told her we already had been given one so she took the baby seat and basket off and gave them to us. So sweet! Hannah loves having the accessories on her bike! I'll have to get a picture of her with the new parts!
So the weekend that Abby was baptized, Joel and Dad began the construction of Hannah's play house. It was nice for me to have my Dad out there helping Joel think it through and do the math. I'm math-challenged. ;)
The windows with shutters...this is the "house" side.
And this is the "snack-shack" side with the counter for ordering snacks. ;) It was baseball season and the kids were very into a "snack-shack".
And the view with the second platform with the slide. I'll have to get some updated pictures now, it's painted, green, white and two shades of purple and Joel put in a zip line! It's quite a play area for the kiddos this summer!
